It was my junior year of college. I was inspired by having written and recorded an album ("Habits"), alone, in exactly one month a year prior, so I decided to do it again! This time? ONE-MAN JAZZ BAND. Obviously.

It was August 1st, 2009, and I gave myself one month, no excuses or extensions, hard cut-off date of midnight August 31st.

Jazz is all about spontaneity, the musicians interacting with each other, playing off what they hear. As just one guy I wasn't gonna be able to do that, so I had to find a way to imitate it. I won't bore you with the details, but rest assured it was a long and annoying process. Email me if you want to know how I did it, so that you too can start your very own one-man jazz band!
